Born in 1982 in Villar del Arzobispo (Valencia), he initiated his clarinet studies at the age of 6 with his father at the Unión Musical Santa Cecilia school in his hometown. He completed the middle grade in clarinet at the Lliria Conservatory with Salvador Marí, graduating with the highest qualifications and expanding his training with José Miguel Martínez Falomir, the solo clarinettist of the Municipal Wind Band of Valencia. In 2006 he graduated from the Advanced Conservatory of Music ‘Joaquin Rodrigo’ of Valencia with honours in Clarinet Interpretation with Rafael Albert and José Cerveró as his teachers.
Having attended during many years master classes with Vicente Alberola – solo clarinettist of the Mahler Chamber Orchestra and Les Jeneuses Dissonances, and international concert soloist – in 2008 Manuel completed a post-graduate course at the Salzburg Mozarteum with professor Alois Brandhofer (the former solo clarinettist of the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra). It is noteworthy that he actively participated in various international courses, such as the ones with Carles Riera (a historical clarinet specialist), Vienna Clarinet Connection and the Blair School of Music from Nashville, USA, to mention just a few.
As an orchestral musician, he performed during five years as solo clarinettist with the Youth Orchestra of the Generalitat Valenciana. In 2005 he joins the Jeunesses Musicales World Orchestra as solo clarinettist under Josep Vicent until 2010, period during which he further develops his artistic skills while touring in Spain, China, Austria, Germany, Holland and Canada, among other countries, and performing in prestigious halls like the Berliner Philharmonie or the Vienna Konzerthaus. He worked with such prominent teachers as Joan Enric Lluna, Enrique Pérez, Miguel Espejo and Julia Gallego. It is worth a mention his collaboration with the Municipal Orchestra of Valencia, the International Diaghilev Festival Orchestra from Russia and "MusicAeterna" - conducted by Teodor Currentzis - with whom he collaborates and records regularly.
Passionate about chamber music, Manuel has been a member of The World Orchestra Wind Quintet and Aridane Quintet, and he collaborated in various occasions with The World Orchestra String Quartet .
As of 2009, he lives in Barcelona where he expands his artistic activities as a clarinettist of the Barcelona Municipal Wind Band, and as a member of Barcelona Reed Quintet and Barcelona Clarinet Players.
