Javier was born in 1980, in Alcoi, Valencia. He began his music studies at La Sociedad Musical Nova in Alcoi, with maestro José Francisco Moina Pérez, and Julio Juan Fresneda López. In 1995 he finishes his elementary studies at the Municipal Conservatoire for Music and Dance in Alcoi with Professor Eduardo Terol and continues at the Professional Conservatoire for Music in Valencia, where he earns his Bachelor’s Degree in Clarinet with Professor Juan Ramón Beltrán Tormo and receives the Extraordinary Graduation Award.
In 2005 he earns his Degree in Music at the Music Conservatoire Joaquín Rodrigo in Valencia with Professor José Cerveró and receives the highest qualifications.
He also studied with maestro José Vicente Herrera and completed various master courses with high profile clarinetists such as Miguel Espejo, Justo Sanz, Reinhard Wieser, Carles Riera, José Cerveró, Radovan Cavallin, Hedwig Swinberghe or Yehuda Gilad, among others.
He played as a solo clarinetist with the Valencian Professional Conservatoire Orchestra, the Higher Conservatoire Orchestra Joaquin Rodrigo from Valencia, the Symphony Orchestra Alcoiana, and the Federation of Music Societies of the Valencian Community Wind Band, and also with the Wind Orchestra “Filharmonía” and with the Nova Music Society from Alcoi. He has participated in the Valencian Institute production of Luigi Nono’s ‘Prometeo’ conducted by Arturo Tamayo and has played as soloist with the Pols I Púa Orchestra “Armónica Alcoiana”. He also collaborated with the Philharmonic Orchestra from Malaga.
He developed his teaching career at the Music School L´Alacantí – L´Alcoià and with Sociedad Musical Nova in Alcoi, and he collaborated with the Xilema reed control department.
He currently teaches clarinet at the Municipal Music School in Llavaneres and at the Wind Band Unió Filharmònica Music School in El Prat de Llobregat.
Since 2008 he has been working as an E-flat and B (soprano) clarinet professor with the Barcelona Municipal Wind Band.
