These are some of the concepts that best define the creative line of the BCP. Their performances are characterized by meticulous chamber work and careful and energetic staging.
Throughout their more than ten-year career, they have commissioned and premiered works by prestigious composers such as Arturo Márquez, Paquito D’Rivera, Daniel Freiberg, Óscar Navarro, Victoriano Valencia, Rubén Darío Gómez, José Manuel López López, Raquel García-Tomas, Bernat Vivancos, Joan Magrané, Enric Palomar, and Núria Núñez Hierro, among others.
Their commitment to the creation of new original works for Symphonic Band is remarkable, as they have commissioned thirteen compositions dedicated to this ensemble and a soloist quartet. The quality of these works has been recognized with three Latin Grammy nominations.
Additionally, they have shared the stage with renowned musicians such as Paquito D’Rivera, pianist Marco Mezquida, and flamenco singer Pere Martínez.
To date, they have released eight award-winning albums featuring a variety of styles, including jazz, klezmer, flamenco, symphonic, and avant-garde music.
They have toured extensively across the USA, Latin America, and Europe, presenting their projects and giving masterclasses at prestigious universities. They have also been invited to major international festivals such as JIWF (South Korea), Midwest Clinic (Chicago), and TMEA (San Antonio).
As soloists, they have performed with ensembles such as the Lone Star Wind Orchestra, North Texas Wind Symphony, Barcelona Municipal Band, Palma de Mallorca Municipal Band, Bilbao Municipal Band, and the UNAM Symphonic Band, under the direction of Eugene Corporon, Tim Reynish, Luís Manuel Sánchez, Miguel Etchegoncelay, and José Rafael Pascual Vilaplana, among others.
